Wintek is a popular touchscreen supplier and it has recently leaked some news about Apple to a chinese newspaper named Commercial Times. Wintek claims that it is working with Apple to develop some new products. By new products, I predict it might be a touchscreen netbook.
Apple is reportedly working with Taiwan’s Wintek Corp and Quanta Computer Inc to manufacture new line of touchscreen netbooks. Quanta Computer Inc is already assembling Apple’s flagship products like iMac and Macbooks.
As we all know that the PC shipments has been decreasing over a few months and following a down slide, and on the other hand, the netbook market which is booming with more and more people buying cheaper and reliable netbooks, Apple has probably considered entering the new market. When Steve Jobs was asked about probabilities of Apple entering the netbook market, he said that he considered netbooks a new market, and that Apple didn’t plan on participating in it yet.
Well, keeps your fingers crossed and wait for apple to launch some cheap, but reliable mac netbooks.
