Mozilla Firefox 3.1 Beta Arrives!

Mozilla recently released it’s third beta version of Firefox 3.1. The new beta, Mozilla, Firefox 3.1 beta 3 has many new features to boast such as Private Browsing Mode. It also includes an option called “forget this site” in the history sidebar. There has also been some improvements to the Gecko layout engine with added great feature like JSON parsing support which will be protecting the browser against code execution. Mozilla also promises for even better stability for video and audio functions like W3C Geolocation API, CSS 2.1 and 3 properties, JavaScript query selectors, SVG transforms and last but not the least, offline applications.

The name of the new version will not be Firefox 3.1, but Firefox 3.5 and mozilla explains that the naming has been done in accordance to reflect how much the browser has changed from the about a year old Firefox 3.0.
Firefox 3.1 was scheduled to release in December 2008. The third beta version of Firefox 3.1 will be arriving just one week before the release of Microsoft’s browser, Internet Explorer 8. Keep your finger crossed for the new browser. Expect it to be more faster and efficient than the current ones.
