Can I create a wireless LAN connection to the 2Wire card only?

I have the 2Wire 80211g Wireless LAN Card. Or something similar. I'm simply looking for a wireless network, or to project wireless signal. Is this possible? I'm looking project wireless signal so that my iPod touch can access it via WiFi. I do not know if possible, but I thought that he would ask. Thanks in advance.
